How should I pay for a vehicle?
When paying for a vehicle online, it’s recommended to use secure payment methods like bank transfers or credit cards. Avoid paying by cash or through untraceable services. How do I know if a car is CAT-S or similar?
Our vehicle history check provides essential details such as whether a car has been stolen, scrapped, written off, or imported/exported. It also checks for changes in the vehicle's original color or number plate. While this free check offers guidance, we recommend verifying all information directly with the seller. Can I have a copy of an old advert?
Absolutely! Whilst we don’t store copies of old listings as they appeared on the website, we have access to the raw data, including the date the car was listed and key details about the vehicle. Unfortunately, this means we don’t have any photos. To request an ad, just complete the Contact Us form.

We operate as an email-only support team and do not have a phone number for assistance. Please reach out to us using the Contact Us Form, and we will respond promptly to help with your query.
Where can I share feedback about the website?

How can I make a complaint about a dealer?
We are sorry you need to make a complaint about one of our dealers. We want to assure you that we hold our dealers to high standards of conduct and compliance with applicable laws. We want to be aware of any complaints about our dealers, so please contact us using the Contact Us Form. You can also review our Complaints Policy.
We’d also recommend you find out about your rights. You can contact Citizens' Advice - they can provide you with guidance and the next steps to take. They may also report to Trading Standards on your behalf for further investigation. Please see our advice pages for more information.
How do I report a scam?
If you feel you have witnessed or been a victim of a scam by one of our dealers, please get in touch straight away using the Contact Us Form so we can investigate. With regards to our dealers, we do have a number of due diligence measures we use when onboarding them to our platform, however, no methodology is completely failsafe. We continually strive to improve our checks and security to prevent this from happening in the future. Please see our advice pages for more information on what to do.
How do I report an advert?
You can send us a message using the Contact Us Form, including the vehicle URL. This will send the link to the vehicle to our team for investigation. please let us know why you are reporting the vehicle.

I’m a Dealer wanting to contact you?
If you are an existing dealer with a query, or a new dealer looking to list your cars on Cazoo you can contact our Customer Success team on 0203 966 2714 or complete the Contact Us Form.
How can I list my car on Cazoo?
Cazoo is exclusively for car dealers. If you’re a private seller, we recommend using our partner platform, Gumtree, where you can list your car for free. Gumtree also provides HPI vehicle history reports for added assurance.
Data & Security
How do I unsubscribe?
All of our marketing emails include an unsubscribe button, allowing you to easily opt out of future marketing emails. You can also opt out of marketing emails within your Cazoo account. If you are encounter any issues, please contact us using the Contact Us Form and we will assist you.
How can I get my data deleted?
You can request the deletion of your personal data unless it is needed for legal obligations, public interest or legal claims. To request data deletion, please get in touch us using the Contact Us Form and we can action this for you.

I have a question about a car purchased before 27th June 2024
I am looking to upgrade or return my car on finance?
Cazoo ltd. acted as a broker and did not sell or operate finance directly. As such, questions around your finance policy, upgrades or loan repayments must be directed to the finance provider. You will be able to find which finance company from documents provided at the time of purchase and subsequent statements.
I purchased a car from Cazoo and have issues. Who do I contact?
If you purchased your car directly from Cazoo via the website before 27 March 2024, then please be aware that Cazoo Ltd ceased trading on 27th June 2024. Consequently, any statutory rights are no longer applicable. We recommend that you make contact with a local garage to understand your best options.
Are you able to send my service history?
Motors only purchased the Cazoo brand name, unfortunately this means we do not have access to any information relating to Cazoo car sales or service history.
Is my Extended Warranty still valid?
We are pleased to confirm that any extended warranty taken out on your vehicle is still valid. To discuss your warranty, you can send an email to LWGCazoo@assurant.com or call 0330 100 3821. Their opening hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.
How do I manage my Extended Warranty policy?
You can manage your Extended Warranty through Vehicle Care by Assurant by visiting yourvehiclecare.co.uk. You can find a local garage, make a repair booking, amend your vehicle information, and view your terms and conditions, all in one place. You will need to create an account when visiting the website for the first time. You’ll need to provide your name, email address, phone number, post code, and your vehicle registration number.
Before any repair work is carried out, you’ll need to make sure it’s been authorised by Assurant. The garage will need to contact Assurant on 0330 100 3821 and receive a repair request authority number. Once the repair work is complete, the garage will also need to forward a repair invoice to CazooClaims@assurant.com, quoting your Extended Warranty plan number.
How do I book my annual inspection offered under my Extended Warranty?
You can request a yearly maintenance inspection by visiting yourvehiclecare.co.uk. You can find a local garage, make a repair booking, amend your vehicle information, and view your terms and conditions, all in one place. You will need to create an account when visiting the website for the first time. You’ll need to provide your name, email address, phone number, post code, and your vehicle registration number.
Before your inspection is carried out, you’ll need to make sure it’s been authorised by Assurant. The garage will need to contact Assurant on 0330 100 3821 and receive a repair request authority number.
Once the inspection is complete, the garage will also need to forward a repair invoice to motorpayments@assurant.com, quoting your Extended Warranty plan number.
If the Annual Inspection reveals a problem, the garage should contact Assurant on 0330 100 3821 to raise a claim and gain authorisation before any repair work is carried out.
Is my service plan still valid?
The Administrators of CL 1 Realisations Ltd (formerly Cazoo Ltd) have advised us of the following information regarding service plans:
- Due to the administration of Cazoo, future Services or MOTs can no longer be completed at Cazoo Service Centres, or with approved third-party garages or mobile providers.
- CL 1 Realisations Ltd (formerly Cazoo Ltd) has taken steps to cancel all future payments relating to service plans and you will no longer be charged for this product.
- Cazoo is unable to provide a refund for the service plan.
- As Cazoo is unable to complete any service or MOTs of cars, you cannot transfer the service plan to a subsequent purchaser of your car, nor are you able to transfer to another vehicle.
- You may have a claim as a creditor in the administration in respect of any outstanding obligations under the service plan as set out in the terms and conditions (previously received by email when you took out the plan).
- All known service plan customers should have received formal notification of the Joint Administrators’ appointment and detailed information as to how to register as a creditor of CL 1 Realisations Ltd (formerly Cazoo Ltd).
- The Joint Administrators expect that there will be funds available to distribute to creditors following the conclusion of the Administration. However, the timing and quantum of any payments are uncertain at this stage.
- You should check your inbox regularly as well as your spam folder for an email containing this information.
- If you believe you are entitled to claim as a creditor and have not received any communication regarding this, please contact CazooCreditors@teneo.com. This inbox should only be used for queries relating to claims.
- Please note WhoCanFixMyCar will not be able to assist you in relation to the Cazoo service plan.
I purchased GAP insurance via Cazoo, who do I contact with questions or issues?
GAP insurance is operated by TWG Services (Assurant), you can contact them on 0330 100 3821.
How can I check if the car I purchased through Cazoo still has a manufacturer’s warranty?
To find out if your car still has a manufacturer’s warranty, you’ll need to get in touch with the manufacturer directly – we recommend using a local manufacturer approved dealer. They’ll also be able to help with any repair needs you may have.
